Swansea v Tottenham: Team news, preview and live coverage of FA Cup clash

2018-03-17 12:43:27

Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur kick off a huge weekend of live football on talkSPORT.

The Premier League rivals meet at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday lunchtime (kick-off 12:15) in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup .

It is the first of 11 live commentaries across the talkSPORT network over the next two days - more details here.

Tottenham will have to make do without star man Harry Kane in Wales, after he was ruled out for four weeks with ankle ligament damage.

Kane's absence could mean a start for Fernando Llorente against his former club, alongside the in-form Heung-min Son.

Spurs are unbeaten in their last 15 games against the Swans in all competitions, drawing at Wembley and winning 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League this season.

Swansea’s last win over Spurs did come, however, in a cup competition, winning 1-0 in a League Cup tie in September 1991 at Vetch Field under Frank Burrows.

This is Swansea’s first appearance in the FA Cup quarter-finals since 1964 – they reached the semi-final that year, eliminating Liverpool in the quarter-final - and the first ever meeting between these two sides in this competition.
