Fellow actress Mindy Kaling, famed for her role in the American Office, owns shares in Swansea City as part of the US consortium that took over the club in 2016, and her love for the Swans appears to have rubbed off on her movie co-star.
Oprah is said to be worth around $3billion, and recently admitted on a talk show that she would be interested in investing in Swansea, which then led to the club inviting her to the Liberty Stadium to watch a match.
Asked about these links between the South Wales club and genuine Hollywood superstar on Friday’s Sports Breakfast, Swansea captain Britton said: “I did see that, Oprah talking about the Swans.
“But she wouldn’t have a clue where Swansea is, would she?
“It’s great for Swansea that someone like Oprah Winfrey is talking about the football club.
“If she does want to come down to the Liberty Stadium I‘m sure she’ll be more than welcome!”
