Chelsea are considering a summer move for Aaron Ramsey , according to reports.
Ramsey, the Arsenal midfielder, will enter the final year of his contract this summer and is, so far, refusing to pen a new deal to remain at the Emirates.
When pressed on the latest regarding his contract by BT Sport, Ramsey replied: “Nothing to comment on at the moment. I think they’ve been busy to tie up other contracts at the moment.”
With his situation in north London up in the air, Chelsea are monitoring the Wales midfielder ahead of a potential summer swoop, according to The Mirror .
Ramsey, 27, has scored seven goals and created a further 10 in 23 appearances this season, but has spent a large portion of the campaign out of action with a hamstring injury.
Chelsea have raided Arsenal once this season, bringing Olivier Giroud, the France forward, to Stamford Bridge on deadline day of the January transfer window. They also agreed a deal to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain last summer, but he rejected the Blues to instead seal a move to Liverpool .
The Blues have also already signed a Premier League midfielder by taking advantage of his contract situation, with the £15m arrival of Ross Barkley in January coming with Barkley entering the final six months of his Everton contract.
