There are 91 days to go until the 2018 World Cup begins and talkSPORT.com is counting them down by looking at the competition's most wonderful players.

This list, featuring Pele, Diego Maradona and Zinedine Zidane , looks at the greatest moments from the most iconic footballers – from great goalscorers and majestic defenders to sensational scoundrels and those who just didn’t know the rules.

91) Joe Gaetjens: USA, forward 1950

Gaetjens is the Haitian-born forward whose three caps for the USA were won at the 1950 World Cup and whose single goal proved the difference in a shock 1-0 win over the much-hyped England team of Billy Wright , Tom Finney and Stan Mortensen. He later returned to Haiti, where in 1964 he was arrested and presumed killed by the Papa Doc regime. His body has never been discovered.
