Chelsea’s longest-serving player is going to leave Stamford Bridge this summer

Chelsea are set to lose their longest-serving player this summer when Matej Delac’s contract expires.

The Croatian goalkeeper, 25, has been contracted to the Blues since 2009 but has never made a first-team appearance.

He has been sent away from the club on 10 different loan spells since his arrival, but is actually the longest-serving player at the Stamford Bridge club.

John Terry’s departure in the summer of 2017 means no player has been contracted to Chelsea longer than Delac, but his deal is up in a few months and he wants to leave.

The Sun say Delac is ready to end his frustrating spell with the Blues as he wants to find a long-term home, rather than be forced around Europe, once again, as a member of Chelsea’s loan army.
