Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted he was upset with supporters’ mood towards young midfielder Scott McTominay in their 2-1 win over Liverpool .
The Red Devils extended their lead over the Merseysiders to five points with the victory, which was well managed.
Supporters seemed unhappy with the substitution of two-goal hero Marcus Rashford, but this didn’t bother Mourinho.
Instead, it was their reaction to decisions made by McTominay as the Red Devils tried to hold onto their lead which appeared to frustrate him.
He said: "I am upset with the reaction they had with [Scott] McTominay, a kid 20-years-old making all the right decisions and they want him to make the wrong decisions when he decides to break the intensity of the game.
"It was a wonderful solution and the fans reacted against the kid. That was the bad one."
