Liverpool missed the chance to rise to second in the Premier League after losing to bitter rivals Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford.
The Reds had a disastrous start to the game, going 2-0 down inside 25 minutes thanks to Marcus Rashford's brace.
Eric Bailly's own goal on 65 minutes gave Jurgen Klopp's side some hope but they could not find an equaliser.
It was Liverpool's start that ultimately cost them the game and many pointed the finger at Dejan Lovren.
The Croatian was bullied by United striker Romelu Lukaku at points, and the defender lost two aerial duels to Lukaku which led to both of the Red Devils' goals.
This is not the first time the defender has been subject to huge derision and Twitter users did not hold back in their latest criticism of Lovren.
One fan even referred to Lovren's bad performance as 'groundhog day', suggesting he is prone to a bad performance just as he looks like he's finding some consistency in Liverpool colours.
