Paulo Dybala missed the first leg against Tottenham, but the forward is back for Juventus and at the right time.
In Turin, a hamstring injury kept him sidelined for the 2-2 draw, but he reminded everyone of his worth by scoring an injury-time winner against Lazio on Saturday.
Gonazlo Higuain scored both goals against Spurs , but he was missing from the win against Lazio, having injured his ankle two weeks ago, though manager Massimiliano Allegri revealed he could let both forwards loose at Wembley.
"I don’t see any reason why they cannot both play," he told reporters.
"Although Higuain has been training separately for a while, he’s trained with the team for the last two days."
However, this season Juventus’ win percentage with Dybala starting is 79 per cent, compared to 71 per cent with Higuaín. In addition, the Italian champions have won all six games Higuaín has not started.
Signed from Palermo for £23million in 2015, Dybala has scored 15 Serie A goals this term. A skilful player with a deadly left foot, the Argentine likes to play off a central striker, interchanging passes around the edge of the box. He is also a threat from long range, capable of stunning goals from both open play and free-kicks.
Writing in The Times , journalist James Horncastle had this to say about the 24-year-old forward's threat from set pieces:
“Stefano Sorrentino, the Chievo goalkeeper, said in September that Dybala should be made 'illegal', joking that 'you need three goalkeepers; one in the middle and one on each post' to stop him.
'He has this foot that’s so quick and sensitive,' Sorrentino said, 'He wrong-foots everyone and takes time [out of your decision-making]... He’s one of the few players able to put the ball with his feet where most people can’t with their hands.'
"It’s what makes Dybala a special free-kick taker. You have to be if you have worn Andrea Pirlo’s old no.21 shirt and now don Michel Platini and Del Piero’s no.10. Troublingly for opponents, Juve’s Miralem Pjanic is even better."
