Atletico Madrid have joined the race for Arsenal target Max Meyer.

The Germany international is ready to leave Schalke in the summer and he can do so for free as his contract will expire then.

Arsenal have expressed an interest in the midfielder, but his list of admirers does not stop there.

Barcelona are also tracking Meyer, while Bayern Munich and AC Milan are keeping tabs on him too.

And now it has been revealed by Bild that Atletico Madrid are also hot on the heels of the 22-year-old.

After losing Yannick Carrasco the Spanish club are looking for attacking reinforcements and they are hoping Meyer could be the first of several signings.
