Barcelona are planning a summer swoop for Brighton, Crystal Palace and Watford target Ferland Mendy.

The 22-year-old has had a fine season in France after joining Lyon from Le Havre for around £5million.

Before that the left-back was a target for several clubs in England, including Brighton, Crystal Palace and Watford.

Birmingham City and West Brom were also interested in Mendy, but he ended up staying in France and joining Lyon instead.

Now, according to France Football, the Frenchman could be on his way to Barcelona.

The Spanish giants are reportedly putting the wheels in motion for a summer move and they want Mendy to come in and provide competition for Jordi Alba.
