Liverpool are considering a move to bring former midfielder Suso back to Anfield in the summer.
The 24-year-old Spaniard joined Liverpool’s academy when he was 16, but left the Merseyside club after becoming frustrated over his lack of first-team action.
After making only 21 appearances for the Reds, he joined AC Milan when his contract expired in 2015 and has gone from strength to strength in Italy.
Suso broke into their first-team last season and has eight goals and 11 assists in all competitions this term.
And, according to reports in Italy from Calciomercato, that form has alerted his former club.
Liverpool are still on the hunt for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, and Suso is seen as a direct replacement for the Brazilian ace.
The same report also suggests the midfielder has a €40million (£36million) release clause at I Rossoneri, and the Reds are ready to take advantage when the summer transfer window opens.
