Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has personally rung the agent of Liverpool star Emre Can to help get a deal over the line.
The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and he is refusing to pen an extension at Anfield.
Juventus are working hard on a deal for the German, but he is keen to wait until he is a free agent in July before signing on.
That has got Juve worried that other clubs could sneak in and land Can, who is currently only able to talk to sides outside of England.
And so, according to Rai Sport, to help get a deal done Marotta has rung the Liverpool midfielder’s agent to try and thrash terms out.
The Juventus CEO is said to have phoned Can’s representative on Friday to find out if a deal can be done sooner.
The Italian champion’s main concern is that the 24-year-old is holding out to see what offers he can get from Premier League clubs when he is a free agent in July.
