Former Chelsea player Mateja Kezman claims his client Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is better than Paul Pogba and could win the Ballon d’Or in the future.
The Serbian is enjoying a stellar season in Serie A with Lazio and his form has seen him linked with moves to Manchester United and Manchester City , as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid .
He is managed by former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, who rates the central midfielder in the same bracket as Zinedine Zidane .
And Kezman feels Milinkovic-Savic could even surpass the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristioan Ronaldo to be crowned the best player in the world.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Kezman said: “When Sergej came to Italy, he was compared with Pogba, because at that moment it was probably the easiest comparison to make in terms of characteristics.
"I do really respect Pogba, let's be clear, and other linkers who can run and work for the team, but I think now Sergej has different and better quality than Pogba.
“Over the last six months, he has made enormous progress at Lazio.
“If he retains his health, he can become the most complete player on the planet.
“He has remarkable attributes and you'll not find another player in the world with that power, muscular structure and height combined with technique and tactical awareness.
“He has the touch of a Brazilian and some of the things he does remind me of Zinedine Zidane.”
Before the January transfer window, PSG were rumoured to be preparing a £150 million bid for the Serbian.
However, a summer transfer struggle now seems likely to break out for his signature, with Kezman likely to be at the heart of the negotiations.
The former Chelsea man expects his client to be in contention for the Ballon d’Or during his career, even surpassing some of the greats he played with at Stamfrod Bridge.
"Milinkovic-Savic is the most effective midfielder in Europe right now,” he added.
“He can score goals in a variety of ways and has a good head on his shoulders.
“I've played with Arjen Robben , Frank Lampard and some of the best in Europe and I think Sergej can surpass them if he keeps this up.
"He could soon be a candidate for the Ballon d'Or.”
