Liverpool and Spurs in battle over Dortmund's Marco Reus

Liverpool remain in pole position to sign Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus this summer, despite interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham.

The 28-year-old, who played under Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund a few seasons ago, is about to enter the final year of his contract with the German giants and a move to England has been mooted.

Reus is a long-term target of Liverpool and since returning from another spell out injured, the attacking midfielder is beginning to rediscover his top form.

The Germany international has been restricted to just 114 minutes of first-team action so far this term but has netted twice in five appearances since his return.

And, according to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool remain big favourites of Reus and are still hotly-tipped to land him this summer.

Reports have emerged in recent days linking Reus with a move to Tottenham but the opportunity to work under Klopp again is expected to prove decisive, if indeed the midfielder does decide to leave Dortmund in the summer.
