Sergio Aguero is Manchester City's greatest ever scorer and could reach a landmark 200 goals on Thursday.
City are playing Arsenal at the Emirates, with 29-year-old Aguero currently on 199. This season he is among a small group of players with 30 in all competitions and his manager, Pep Guardiola thinks tough love has helped the striker become even better.
“I am so demanding with him because I think he can do better. It’s not for any other reason — it’s to help him," he said.
“He has to know that he has to play good to be in the team, it’s the same for everybody.
“The only way to keep going in three competitions is to be like this.”
Aguero joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for a reported £38millon and in November 2017 surpassed Eric Brook's long standing record to become the club's all time top scorer.
