Manchester United and Barcelona target Justin Kluivert is fully focused on extending his current contract with Dutch giants Ajax, according to his agent Mino Raiola .
The 18-year-old, son of former Barca star Patrick Kluivert, has been dubbed one of the brightest young prospects in world football and interest in him is mounting.
Both Manchester United and Barcelona have been closely monitoring his development, while other top European clubs are expected to join the race for his signature in the summer.
However, Kluivert could well end up staying at Ajax for a while yet as, according to Raiola, the young striker is close to penning a new deal.
“The negotiations are running well and there are no ripples in the water, but I have a duty to handle this very carefully,” Raiola told De Telegraaf.
“At Ajax, Justin is still playing under a small contract and there is a lot of interest for him, an exceptional amount and from the biggest clubs.
“You have to take those noises seriously too, because we are dealing with one of the greatest talents in the world.”
