Frank Lampard believes Chelsea have ‘a fighting chance’ of claiming a stunning victory over Barcelona in the Champions League .
The Blues travel to the Nou Camp for the second leg of their last 16 tie on March 14, with LIVE commentary on talkSPORT.
Antonio Conte’s side were close to pulling off a brilliant victory over the Catalans in the first leg but ultimately drew 1-1, as Lionel Messi’s late equaliser cancelled out Willian’s strike.
The Blues deserved the win but were punished for their one defensive mistake, and Lampard believes they can progress in the competition if they produce a similar display at the Nou Camp.
Speaking to talkSPORT host Jim White, the Chelsea legend and Champions League winner said: “Can they win against Barcelona? I think so.
“Chelsea were fantastic in the first leg and, of all the English teams in the Champions League, Chelsea do have the capabilities to be really organised and they have dangerous players on the counter-attack, particularly Eden Hazard and Willian in his current form.
“If they can try and play the way they played at the Bridge, they’ve got a chance.
“It’s going to be a very tough game. When you go to the Nou Camp, Barcelona and especially Lionel Messi make it so difficult for you.
“But there’s certainly a fighting chance for Chelsea. They do have the ability to go there and get something.”
