Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has been ruled out of Thursday's Premier League against Manchester City with a back problem.
The defender limped out of Sunday’s 3-0 Carabao Cup final defeat to City and he has not recovered in time to face them again in their mid-week fixture.
Manager Arsene Wenger has revealed the Spaniard could also be out for a further three games, including the first leg of Arsenal’s Europa League last-16 clash with AC Milan .
“He is out for the two games this weekend Thursday and Sunday, certainly out,” said Wenger on Wednesday.
“He might be out for two more, Milan and maybe even one more. He had an inflamed back, a disc problem. The rest, everybody is fit.”
Arsene Wenger has no other fresh injury concerns and can recall January signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan , who was cup-tied at Wembley.
Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Holding, Mustafi, Chambers, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Bellerin, Nelson, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Elneny, Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Welbeck, Aubameyang.
