Manchester United have slapped an £8.75 million price tag on defender Matteo Darmian.

The Italian has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and he wanted to leave during the January transfer window.

Juventus expressed an interest in the full-back back then, as did other clubs in Italy such as Napoli and Roma .

However, Mourinho blocked Darmian leaving as he was unable to bring in a replacement during the middle of the season.

United, though, are willing to let the 28-year-old go in the summer and they have now named their price.

According to Calciomercato, Darmian will be sold if an offer of £8.75m is made by any club.

The defender is reportedly hoping to return to Italy, with Juventus the favourites to sign him.
