Liverpool moved up to second in the Premier League after running out comfortable 4-1 winners at home to West Ham.

The home side dominated from the outset and could have led inside two minutes but Mohamed Salah's drive was saved onto the post by Adrian.

Marko Arnautovic then hit the bar for the Hammers before Emre Can opened the scoring with a simple header from an inswinging corner on 29 minutes.

The Reds doubled their lead on 50 minutes when the in-form Salah produced a neat finish in the corner of the net after good work from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Five minutes later, Roberto Firmino ran on to a Can through ball to make it three but Michail Antonio pulled one back for West Ham moments after coming on as a substitute.

Sadio Mane rounded off Liverpool's good win after getting on the end of Andy Robertson's menacing cross fifteen minutes before the end.
