Barcelona and Bayern Munich are interested in landing Liverpool target Gelson Martins before his £53million release clause expires this summer.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for the 22-year-old winger, who has scored five goals in 21 league games for Sporting Lisbon so far this term.
As talkSPORT told you last month , Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo rates Martins so highly that he even advised his employers Real Madrid to land him as soon as possible.
But Portuguese sports newspaper Record have suggested Liverpool have been joined by Bayern and Barca in a three-way tussle for the Cape Verde-born ace.
However, they all face a race against time if they want to sign him for the £53m stated in his contract's release clause as it runs out as soon as the World Cup in Russia starts.
Sporting would then be able to command whatever fee they like for Martins – which could be high should he impress during the tournament.
