Paul Pogba’s agent has offered the Manchester United star to a list of top clubs in Europe as his unhappiness under Jose Mourinho deepens, according to reports.
The £89million record signing has struggled for form this season and has come under fire for not living up to his huge price tag.
Rumours of a falling out with Mourinho have been rubbished by the manager, and yet the reports of tension between the pair persist following a number of incidents that have put Pogba’s Old Trafford in further doubt.
The midfielder only re-joined United from Juventus two years ago, but it is now being claimed his agent is trying to get him a move away from United, and Mourinho, in the summer.
According to Sports Illustrated, super-agent Mino Raiola has contacted ‘top European clubs’ in an attempt to ‘incite’ a move for the midfielder.
However, the report claims no club has yet shown any interest in the France international.
Rumours of Pogba’s unhappiness at Old Trafford have come following a string of poor displays in the Premier League which saw him hauled off the pitch by Mourinho before full-time, while he was left on the bench for United's Champions League clash in Sevilla on Wednesday night.
Pogba, who missed the FA Cup game against Huddersfield due to illness, was required after just 16 minutes when Ander Herrera pulled his hamstring, but it was another performance without fanfare from the 24-year-old.
When quizzed about Pogba’s omission, Mourinho said following the 0-0 draw in Spain: "You always go to the one who doesn’t start. [21-year-old midfielder] Scott McTominay is working hard every day, he is feeling good and strong,” said Mourinho.
“He played the last match for 90 minutes and Paul last Saturday wasn’t able to play, and this is the kind of game where I think a player must feel 100 per cent.
"Paul gave us some doubts by not playing last Saturday, by his own decision, he was not feeling good."
