Sergio Aguero is without a doubt one of the best strikers to ever grace the Premier League , but you wouldn’t know it if you looked at certain records…
The 29-year-old has been one of the most consistent goalscorers in England since his £38million switch from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
He has already become Manchester City’s top scoring player of all time, breaking Eric Brook’s record earlier last season , with his 29 goals so far this term taking his tally to 198 goals in City blue.
The Argentine also spearheaded two Premier League title-winning campaigns, including one of the most dramatic championships ever as City beat rivals Manchester United to the title on goal difference on the final day of the season.

But not only that, the striker also claimed the Premier League golden boot for the most goals scored in the 2014/15 season, with 26 league strikes.
He has cemented himself in Manchester City and Premier League history.
And yet, Aguero has never been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
Never. Not once.
Sure, Man City’s newest club legend has had his fair share of injury problems since arriving in England, but only once in seven years has Aguero failed to score over 20 goals in a season.
The rise of Harry Kane could be one explanation - the Tottenham hero has made every PFA Team of the Year ever since his remarkable breakthrough in the 2014/15 campaign.
But even in Man City’s 2011/12 and 2013/14 title-winning seasons, he was overlooked for Arsenal’s Robin van Persie and Man United’s Wayne Rooney, and Liverpool duo Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge respectively.
Could this be his year? Perhaps…
Kane is leading the way in the Premier League top scoring charts again with 23 goals so far this term and is almost guaranteed a fourth Team of the Year spot, while Liverpool on-fire forward Mohamed Salah is second with 22.
Aguero currently sits third with 21 goals but, with Salah likely to take one of the midfield spots in the TOTY XI and with Man City 16 points clear and storming to the title, Aguero could finally end his wait for a place in the team this year.
