Real Madrid are ready to cough up the £96million required to land Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea target Mauro Icardi this summer.
As talkSPORT told you last month , Madrid are hoping to move on experienced forward Karim Benzema as they look to make Icardi their next star striker.
The 24-year-old has been in superb form for Inter Milan this season, scoring 18 goals in 22 Serie A outings, on the back of hitting 24 in just 34 games last term.
As such, his value is sky high and so far none of the chasing pack have managed to prise him away from Inter, who signed him from Sampdoria in 2013.
United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been strongly linked with Icardi in the past, but it looks as though Madrid are now the club most intent on doing a deal to sign the striker.
And, according to Don Balon, the Bernabeu giants reckon a £96m bid, which would trigger his release clause, would represent decent value for money.
Then it would be down to Icardi to decide whether or not he wants to join Madrid this summer.
