This is why Kane is ahead of Aubameyang in combined Tottenham and Arsenal XI

Tottenham v Arsenal is live on talkSPORT at 12:30 (GMT) on Saturday 10 February

Who would make a combined XI using the rivals' current players? Well, thankfully Ray Parlour gave two potential line-ups.

Asked to pick a team with four at the back, Ray opted for Kieran Trippier, Laurent Koscielny, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen. This is because he feels they are better defensively, but it means Eric Dier would need to partner Jack Wilshere in midfield to offer more protection to the defence.

He hasn’t chosen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Henrikh Mkhitaryan because nobody has seen enough of them in Arsenal shirts yet.

“It would be different if we were deciding this team after 10 games,” Ray said.

Ray also showed a line-up using three at the back and explains Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are better options to attack the opposition than anything Spurs have to offer. It also allows him to pick the more attack minded Dele Alli to partner Jack Wilshere in midfield.

Which team do you prefer?
